We’re starting something new at WORK! Every second Friday of the month, we will have a brainstorm session for one lucky person with an idea they want to explore. The audience, with the help of a moderator, will be there to offer useful feedback, flesh out ideas, tease out problem areas, and work to move the project forward. Sound fun? Join us!

I’m going to fill this first time slot with a project I’ve been working on with a small team of highly motivated Earth enthusiasts. We will present our ideas and you will help brainstorm. Here’s what we are looking at:

THE CHALLENGE: We’re assuming you’re like us, wanting to do the right thing and make a difference, but without a lot of extra time to figure it all out. But the world needs us now. We can’t wait any longer. We see it like triage. There are many, many causes worthy of our attention, but without a habitable planet, what’s the point? Fortunately, the solutions to climate change are here. What we need now is the WILL to implement them. How we get all hands on deck is the challenge we want to explore.

PLEASE RSVP HERE

12:00-1:30 PM in the WORK Library (10 Fourth St). Feel free to bring a bag lunch.

Natasha’s Bio:
Having spent my childhood in a rural redwood forest admiring the vast Milky Way overhead by night and exploring the fern-covered floor below by day, I’d always felt a deep connection to this miraculous planet we call home. But when my daughter was born in 2004, I suddenly had a vested interest in the future. Seriously, this world better be as good, if not better, by the time she’s my age, or I’ve failed at my parental duties. Last fall, I attended Al Gore’s Climate Reality Leadership Training program with a new project in mind. The goal is to do for climate action what Julia Child did for French cooking. She took something that was intimidating, complicated, and serious, and made it approachable, simple, and fun. I want to eliminate the roadblocks and pave the way to a brighter tomorrow. And I want us to have fun all along the way. I would be most grateful if you would join me.
