DSC_7747 Eric Photo_LowResAward-winning author and writing coach Eric Elfman will lead a small number of writers in this critique group at WORK. You are welcome to bring your own work to share or just listen.

Each writer who wishes to participate will read a selection from his or her work, then Eric will lead the group in a lively critique, offering positive, practical suggestions to make the story better, the characters stronger, the language leaner. Wherever you are in the writing process, whatever your genre, whatever your market, it’s never too early to get feedback:

• What are your book’s strengths and weaknesses?

• Is the story compelling?

• Is the voice passive?

• Are the characters vivid?

• Does the dialogue work?

• Is there conflict and tension in every scene?

Eric’s hands-on workshop will help you answer these questions, and more, in a fun, supportive, and always constructive setting.
