I don’t want to stand by while the future happens around me: I want to be a part of it. Now part of the first vertically integrated energy, home & transportation company, I believe I can continue to strive to make a positive impact on shaping our future into a place where we want to live.
I am driven to make ideas become realities: I was raised by a successful serial-entrepreneur who has continuously grown & encouraged strong senses of self-sufficiency, perseverance & internal motivation. Throughout my time working in varied professional positions, from analyst to paramedic to department-director to writer, I have continued to found & create creative projects including blogs, music recording projects, podcasts & public speaking series.
Advocacy, persuasion, debate – my abilities in these areas stem from an ingrained persistence. Friends & colleagues have continuously noted my fiery evangelism for the future of transportation & environmental technology, particularly how our future will be shaped by autonomous vehicles & new concepts of energy. Coupling this persistence with skill in writing & developing narrative content has allowed me to campaign for various causes, resulting in active participation in planning committees, political policy conversations, local advocacy organizations, event operations & more.
As a paramedic in Indianapolis, working well in a team was essential to providing EMS coverage to the city. I worked tirelessly to develop strong team members for my organization, earning every decoration offered to operations members, including a place as 2nd Lieutenant. In 2014, I was awarded the Linda L. Pollard Preceptor Award, an annual peer & faculty selected award for field training, “In recognition of the highest level of excellence as a role model & mentor.”
I am driven to make my mark on the world, making it a better place for the future we have only dreamed.
Why are you at WORK?: I regularly work outside regular business hours & am in Petaluma on the weekends. I was part of a work share in Indianapolis called the SpeakEasy & really enjoyed it! Looking forward to being a member of this work community.
