Since 1975, Petaluma Community Foundation (PCF) has been a leader in identifying critical needs, serving as a central local resource, and facilitating philanthropy to fund long-term solutions to change lives and enrich quality of life across our community. The strength of PCF’s alliances with the local nonprofit community allows us to identify areas of greatest need and to approach problem-solving with creativity and innovation. Since our beginnings, PCF has awarded over $4 million in grants that encourage kids to be healthy, safe, and make good choices; help individuals and families successfully cope with difficult challenges; and provide seniors the basic necessities to live with dignity and respect. Petaluma Community Foundation is a 501(c) (3) public charity, Tax ID # 51-0154495.
Marilyn Segal (Executive Director) has lived in Petaluma since 1987. She is an East Coast transplant who gave up the practice of law to pursue a career in nonprofit administration. Marilyn has been the Executive Director of three health and human service agencies as well as having her own management consulting practice with clients from around the Bay Area. Her specialty has been organizations in transition in need of executive coaching, succession planning, board development and training, capacity-building and strategic planning. Marilyn has always wanted to work in the community where she has raised her three children and is proud to be the Executive Director of Petaluma Community Foundation. She welcomes the opportunity to use her leadership skills to create an expanded presence and capacity for the Foundation to promote quality of life in Petaluma.
Why are you at WORK?: PCF is proud to have Work Petaluma as one of our valued Community Partners. PCF enjoys using Work’s conference room for our board meetings on a monthly basis.
