About the art:
Surrounded by Light represents a year long evolution of site specific landscape, colors and textures, captured with lens removed. The resulting color fields are later manipulated by the artist to produce atmospheric sometimes painterly abstractions. The duration of the project, stretching across four seasons, allowed for the artist to explore pattern, color and light as it shifts. New ideas coming to fruition with each iteration. We follow the thread with the artist as each grouping of images explores the transformations she experienced, recorded and manipulated. This process documents the seasons on nearby Piano Farm in Bloomfield CA.
