As tales of weather catastrophes are splattered across our news daily, one has to question whether or not Wall Street is watching as well. They sure are. Dale Wannen, President of Petaluma-based Sustainvest Asset Management, an advisory firm focused on sustainable and responsible investing, will give us some interesting examples of how climate change is already effecting the value of IRAs and 401k’s across the world. He will hit on questions like:
- What does sustainable and responsible investing really mean?
- What companies and industries are most and least vulnerable to climate change?
- What are stranded assets and why do the big CA pensions care about this possible “carbon bubble”?
- What can I do about this?
Climate Chats are brought to you free by WORK Petaluma.
Noon-1 PM in the WORK Library. Feel free to bring a bag lunch.
