If you are in the business of providing goods and/or services, whether you are just starting out or are up to your neck in work, the likelihood is that you deal with sales contracts on a regular basis. It is often tempting to grab a simple template off of the internet; however, it is important to understand the ramifications of the terms it contains and to ensure that you are making an informed decision to leave out the terms it may lack.

Bio: Katie O’Neill Tran is the founding attorney of O’Neill Tran Law, a business and trademark law firm. She has been practicing law since 2007. Katie has spent over ten years assisting entrepreneurs and business owners with a wide array of legal issues; from filing initial trademarks and entity formation, through obtaining investor funding, and negotiating contracts with employees, third-party vendors, and clients.
Katie, has experience serving as the outside general counsel for companies across the United States and the world, including those based in California, Chicago, New York, and Dublin (Ireland). She has experience not only in domestic corporate and trademark law, but also in international intellectual property and commercial law. Katie is an active member of the bar and is licensed to practice law in California, Illinois, New York, and Ireland.
