In this session, coWORKer AJ Wacaser will describe biomimicry, an approach to innovation that seeks solutions to human challenges by emulating nature’s time tested patterns and strategies over the last 3.8 billion years. A sustainable world already exists, and the answers to how to live here are all around us. AJ will discuss how nature and successful life strategies can inform the creation of innovative products, processes and systems that are not only sustainable but also increase life and conditions for life as an outcome.
By asking nature’s advice and learning how living systems function during design thinking and inventing, we will catalyze a new era in design and business that will benefit both people and the planet. By 2025 the projected biomimicry market is estimated to represent $300 billion in U.S. gross domestic product (GDP). Join us as we explore this exciting and inspiring new field!
PLEASE RSVP HERE. $5-$10 sliding scale donation at the door for Non WORK Members– help us keep the lights on and keep great programs coming your way! WORK Members FREE including Friends of WORK!
