Publishing a book is on the bucket list of between 80 and 90% of Americans, but most don’t actually write one. However, for the small business owner or entrepreneur, being an author opens the door to other opportunities like speaking, consulting, and media exposure. Publishing a book can launch your business or take it to the next level. A book is a vehicle for grabbing attention. Attention can be monetized. A book brands you as an expert. Proven expertise gets you hired. Join Marcia Norris to explore different ways in which publishing your own strategically designed book can be leveraged to bring income into your business.

Bio:  Marcia Norris self-published her first book in 1995 using the local copy shop and new-fangled desktop publishing software. The book was a flop in that nobody outside her family ever saw it; but she was never again able to shake the idea that she would write books. After channeling that urge into marketing and technical writing for twenty years instead of her own books, Ms. Norris finally decided enough was enough. She self-published 5 publicly distributed books under her own byline in under one year. Now she helps others do the same. Website: http://emelenpublishing.com/
